16th Annual Babe Zaharias Kickoff Tournament
The 15th Annual Babe Zaharias Kickoff Tournament, open to all TSSAS-, USASA-, &/or USSF-registered open and over 30 co-ed recreational teams, has been scheduled for June 9th & 10th, 2007, and will be held again this year at Cris Quinn Memorial Soccer Complex formerly known as "The Meadows", home of the BYSC in Beaumont, Texas. Registration will begin soon - please check back every couple of weeks for more information! Host hotel is MCM Elegante' Hotel, same great fun on the fields, and, as always, party on Saturday night... Hope to see you all there!

2007 Houston Dynamo Champions Cup
SETS Association has been chosen as one of the 32 out of 64 eligible Greater-Houston-Area soccer leagues to participate in the first annual Houston Dynamos Champions Cup this summer. We are extremely excited about this, & look forward to a great showing with our SETS Champions Team, selected this week after a series of 2 try-outs at the Babe Zaharias fields. We would like to thank each of you who tried out for all of your efforts and interest in the team. We have posted the names of those selected under "Teams" (choose "Roster" from there)- You must be a member of the site to access this information, which is easily done by following the directions when you get to the restricted access page. Congratulations to each of you, & get ready for some serious practice, beginning Tuesday, April 10th (place & time to be announced-check back soon)!
New Host Hotel
The beautiful, newly renovated MCM Elegante' Hotel, located at 2355 IH-10 South, Beaumont, Texas, 77705, will be the host hotel for this year's tournament. It has every amenity you could need- please visit their website @ http://www.mcmelegantebeaumont.com/ (there is a link to the site under "Links") for driving directions & more details- Our league has arranged a special rate for those staying for the tournament, with a number of rooms blocked for our tournament guests through May 18th(after this date, you will still get the special rate if you mention the tournament, but they will let go of the rooms blocked for us on that date, meaning you will no longer be guaranteed a room after May 18th, so call soon!) The Friday night registration and coaches' meeting, as well as the Saturday night party will be held at the host hotel, and it is less than 10 minutes from the fields, so the pool (or Jacuzzi) may be calling you between games! Also, the deadline for entry into the tournament this year will be May 21st- you may download the forms from this site (under "Handouts"), or wait until you've received them by e-mail or regular mail, which will be in the next couple of weeks. Check back every couple of weeks for more details...
